And so it begins... I have decided to start a "weight loss journey" of sorts and figured that if I had actual documentation it would add to the motivation needed to complete my goals. I am just a regular girl who had a couple of kids and has decided that I would like my body back. I know it won't be the same as before but maybe it could be better. When I first got married I weighed 145lbs. Almost 3 years, and 2 children later I weigh in at an astounding 187. Yep. I put it out there. I am 5'6" tall and according to my BMI (31) I am considered medically OBESE. Me. A 26 year old who was severely underweight for the majority of my life. Talk about a slap in the face. I doubt anyone will follow this but just writing this down is therapeutic and very helpful towards reaching my end goals. I won't lie. I'm totally nervous about this and am going to need some support and encouragement. I also am having one last big "cheat" weekend before I start my UNFALTERING AND UNWAVERING body/mind makeover. I know who I am as a person and this body is just not me. I don't want to do anything too drastic just something that an everyday, normal person can do with the right tools. With that said and out of the way let's get started.
05/13/2011:
weight: 187 lbs.
BMI: 31
MEASUREMENTS:
waist:
hips:
**I am not measuring any other body parts as these are the 2 I personally carry weight around the most. Other than my bust. But that's another story! Ha
THE PLAN:
*join Weight Watchers to monitor what I eat
*join the YMCA so I can start working out
I realize that not everyone can join a gym but I need to for a couple of reasons:
1. I live in AZ and it is quite literally a hell hole. Blazing hot and I will work up to working out outside.
2. Remember those 2 kids I mentioned? Well the older one thinks it's funny to attack me while I attempt to do my Jillian Michael's workout video.
The YMCA is a great option for me because as a military family member I get a discount and I get someone to watch my kids for up to 2 hours a day. YMCA = WIN!
My goals:
WEIGHT LOST BY 07/15/11:
Weight: 155lbs.
BMI: 27
I know this is only 2 months away but it is my anniversary so it is a date I will be able to remember fairly easily. Plus it's only 2 months. I can do it! It's a realistic time frame.
I know I can do this people. I know it. And if you live in the AZ you should email me and maybe we will get together and work on our goals together. You can do this too.
Wish me luck!!

Okay, I need to know how this is going because I just had my first 2 months ago and decided I needed to gain 80 lbs. for a 6 lb. 14 oz. baby. 2 months later, I am 30 lbs. lighter, but I still have 50 lbs. to go. UGH. And also, I love Mary Robbins, so...you need to post an update so I can know how it's going. :)
